I live on the main road of a tiny town which is on a popular caravan route. There's a cafe two doors down. I frequently get vans parked partially blocking my driveway. Annoying but if I can get out, no problem.
  • 03
Today though.... Ah today the boomers didn't even pretend to try to leave space. The giant 4 wheeler and massive caravan was parked squarely across the driveway. The hitch was literally in the middle of the driveway.
  • 04
All they had to do was park about 10 metres further up the road and there wouldn't be any issues.
  • 05
I had just mowed the front lawn. I normally don't worry about the nature strip, it's dry, mostly dirt and gravel and the council looks after it anyway.
  • 06
But today I made sure I have the best tended nature strip in town. Gravel flying everywhere. Some may have hit the car or van. Who can tell? There was definitely a thin film of dust over them at least.

When the Mrs returned to the car I did politely point out that they had blocked my driveway. She had the grace to look embarrassed. Mr didn't even have the courage to say anything to me. I didn't stop until they left. ☐ them.

Ambitious_List_7793. 2 days ago Many years ago, on a hot summer day, our neighbours across the street held a yard sale. As we opened our garage door on our way to take the kids for ice cream, we see a camper completely blocking our driveway.

We figured the owners were at the garage sale and would only be a few minutes. Wrong. We waited 10 minutes and they didn't show.
  • 10
So I called the neighbours and asked them if they could ask these people to move their camper. They said they wouldn't be long. I heard one of the camper owners shout that we should mind our own business and that they'd leave when they were ready.

Another 5 minutes passes and the kids are wanting ice cream. The passenger window and a bedroom window on the camper were open because it was hot.
  • 13
I'd had enough so I set up the lawn sprinkler and turned on the water. Not only did the spray cover our lawn but the side of the camper.
  • 14
The owners eventually returned about 15 minutes later and were furious when they saw the water was hitting their camper.
  • 15
Our next door neighbour, an on duty police officer on lunch break, pulled into his driveway and came over to ask what was going on. I explained how long we'd been waiting,
  • 16
that we'd asked them to move the vehicle and they refused. He told the camper driver to move his vehicle. Then he told him to provide his drivers license, vehicle ownership,
  • 17
insurance and proceeded to write him a ticket for obstructing our driveway.
  • 18
To say the campers were unhappy would be an understatement. I thought I heard the passenger seat go squish as the person got in.

Notherb 2 days ago Next time, lightly moisten the offending vehicle first. That way, more debris will stick to the vehicle. ., they deserve it.
